Abstract:
Der Beratungsbegriff wird in Praxis und Forschung vielfach überhöht und verklärt. Dieses Missverständnis führt – so die Ausgangsvermutung – zu verschiedenen Problemen in der Zusammenarbeit von Agenturen und Kunden, die in dem Beitrag aus einer theoretischen Perspektiven beschrieben und zu denen Lösungsvorschläge entwickelt werden. Dazu wird auf einer systemtheoretischen Basis ein Verständnis der Kommunikationsberatung entwickelt, nach dem sie entscheidungsbezogene Kontingenz öffnet und damit zusätzliche Optionen zum Management der kommunikativen Beziehungen zu internen und externen Bezugsgruppen auf den Tisch bringt, bevor Beratung beim Schließen entscheidungsbezogener Kontingenz hilft. Von diesem idealtypischen Beratungsverständnis werden Umsetzungsdienstleistungen abgegrenzt sowie die jeweiligen Kosten und Nutzen herausgearbeitet, bevor Möglichkeiten aufgezeigt werden, die Autonomie der Beratung und damit ihre Qualität zu sichern.
