Eine Untersuchung der Interdependenzen zwischen den wissenschaftlichen Begriffsfeldern 'Politik' und 'Kunst' (hier insbesondere 'Musik') bedingt zunächst eine adäquate Ausrichtung des Politikbegriffs. Die vorliegende Studie fokussiert diesbezüglich den handlungsorientierten Politikbegriff bei Hannah Arendt als Grundlage einer politischen Theorie der Ästhetik. Dieses Ästhetikkonzept lässt sich am Beispiel des Komponisten Karl Amadeus Hartmann nach zweierlei Ausrichtungen hin durchführen: Zum einen anhand seines biographischen Vorwurfs und zum zweiten mittels seiner kompositorischen Konzepte.

To investigate the interdependences between the conceptual meanings of the terms 'politics' and 'art' (here: 'music', in particular) first of all an adequate concept of 'politics' is required. Regarding this the following study accentuates the political term of action by Hannah Arendt as a basis for a political theory of aesthetics. This concept of aesthetics can be further applied to the example of the composer Karl Amadeus Hartmann in double respect: On the one hand relating to his biography and on the other hand to his concepts of composing.
