Sich »Gegen Antisemitismus!« zu stellen, ist nicht nur gleichbedeutend damit, sich sichtbar gegen Antisemitismus zu positionieren. »Gegen Antisemitismus!« ist vielmehr eine Aufforderung, gesellschaftliche Strukturen zu transformieren, sodass Antisemitismus keinen Raum mehr findet. Insofern ist es sinnvoll, eine Klärung vorzunehmen, wie und wo sich Antisemitismus zeigt, und zu fragen, wie und wo Bildung die Reproduktion und Produktion antisemitischer Stereotype und Konzepte verhindern kann. Dazu gehört auch eine Kritik der eigenen Tradition, insbesondere des christlichen Antijudaismus und der bislang unzulänglichen theologischen Auseinandersetzung mit diesem. Ziel der Beiträge des Sammelbandes ist es, sich der Versuchung der Externalisierung von Antisemitismus entgegenzustellen und »Gegen Antisemitismus!« eine kritische Haltung gegenüber den individuellen und kollektiven Strukturen einzunehmen.

Taking a stand »Against Antisemitism!« entails more than visibly positioning oneself against antisemitism. Rather, »Against Antisemitism!« is a call to transform societal structures in such a way that there is no room left for antisemitism. In this respect, it is essential to clarify how and where antisemitism manifests itself and to analyse the extent to which education contributes to either the reproduction or the deconstruction of antisemitic stereotypes and narratives. This also includes a critical reflection on one’s own tradition, especially Christian anti-Judaism and its previously inadequate theological examination. The contributions in this edited volume aim to resist the impulse to externalize antisemitism and instead adopt a critical stance toward individual and collective structures »Against Antisemitism!«.
