The volumes in this series document the results of the annual autumn conferences of the "Arbeitskreis Grundschule" in the "Gesellschaft für Didaktik der Mathematik" (GDM). The conference focuses on a different current field of research in primary school mathematics education each year, which lends its name to the title of the respective conference proceedings. The four invited experts on this topic address the current state of research in keynote speeches, which are documented in detailed contributions in the conf erence proceedings.
In addition, current research and practical issues are jointly reflected upon in the diverse working groups that meet regularly every year, and key content is also documented in the conference proceedings. The working groups focus on the mathematical content areas relevant to primary schools, namely "arithmetic", "data and probability", "geometry" and "real-life and measurement situations", as well as the topics of "early mathematical education" and "teacher training". Furthermore, the "communication and cooperation" working group focuses on interaction processes in mathematical teaching and learning processes, and "PriMaMedien" on the development, design, application, and evaluation of digital media.
