Abstract:
Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd Allāh al-Buḫārī’s Dāstān-hā-yi Bīdpāy is a Persian translation of the Arabic Kalīla wa Dimna by Ibn al-Muqaffa‘ (d. 140/757), which was itself a translation of the original middle Persian of the work into Arabic in the 2nd/8th century.
