The small series published by the Chair of Medieval and Modern Archaeology continues the chair's long tradition of publications aimed at a general audience, which often accompany exhibitions and are compiled by students. The AMANZ notebooks offer materials from and for teaching medieval and modern archaeology. The series includes companion volumes to exhibitions organized by the chair, thematic introductions, and comments on important research topics in the field, especially current debates. The contributions provide a platform for student work, with the aim of introducing students to academic publishing. The series is subject to quality control by the circle of editors.
