The question, what happens when fiction becomes the more preferable reality and by which mechanism the subject concerned supports this process, is the main aspect of this essay. Furthermore this short study tries to find another and perhaps a less comfortable explanation for Don Quijotes` behaviour than loss of sanity. By accepting a different answer for reviewing Quijotes` behaviour, we give ourself the possibility to define this character as a hero made out of tragedy caused by obvious mistake of time-space-classifications. The main emphasis is located in Max Schelers` definition of Gesinnungsethiker (someones conviction to follow his attitude regardless of arising consequences). Both, his inability to classify time-space structures and his acting based on highest moral principles allow us to characterize Quijote as Gesinnungsethiker and tragic hero.deuQuijote Scheler Fiktion RealitätDon Quijote : Tragische Figur oder Gleiten zwischen Realität und Fiktion?Don Quijote : Tragic character or bridging reality-fiction?articlehttps://www.winter-verlag.de/de/programm/zeitschriften/comparatio/
